We celebrate the election of the new Governance Committee of the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF) for the 2026–2028 term, an important step to continue strengthening a representative, diverse, and values‑aligned governance for the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE).
The new governance model adopted by GSEF introduces five weighted voting colleges and reserved seats for youth, solidarity finance, and research, reflecting the geographical and thematic diversity of its 90 members.
Special recognition to the RIPESS community
RIPESS warmly congratulates the organizations and leaders from our community who have been elected to key roles in this new cycle:
RESSCAM – Continental Co‑Chair for Africa
The National SSE Network of Cameroon (RESSCAM) has been elected as Continental Co‑Chair for Africa, together with the City of Dakar.
Its president, Elise Pierrette Memong Meno, who also serves as Secretary General of RAÉSS and member of the RIPESS Board, brings strong leadership and a deep commitment to advancing SSE across the African continent.
Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia (UCC) – Research & Foresight seat
The UCC, an active member of RIPESS LAC, has been elected as alternate for the thematic seat on Research and Foresight, alongside the Chaire Territoires de l’ESS.
This strengthens the academic and research dimension within GSEF’s global governance.
RIPESS – Elected to one of the four open seats
RIPESS has been elected to one of the four open seats, reinforcing the intercontinental network’s presence in global decision‑making spaces for the SSE.
A new cycle to strengthen SSE worldwide
We also congratulate the newly elected global and continental Co‑Chairs, as well as the organizations occupying thematic and open seats. Their work will be essential to advance transformative public policies, strengthen local ecosystems, and promote an economy centered on life.
RIPESS reaffirms its commitment to continue collaborating with GSEF and with all organizations working toward a fairer, more democratic, and more solidarity‑based economy.
Congratulations to all!
Together, we continue building the global strength of the SSE.
