RIPESS LAC held its General Assembly on 22 and 23 November 2025. These were two days of intense work dedicated to strengthening the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) in Latin America and the Caribbean, where ties between organizations were deepened and the collective commitment to building fair and sustainable economic alternatives was renewed.

RIPESS Intercontinental, represented by its Executive Secretary Sandra Moreno, participated in the RIPESS 2025 Assembly to reflect on the progress and joint initiatives of the past year, thanks to the valuable work of Valeska Sarmiento and Hans Cediel, co-coordinators of RIPESS LAC and representatives of the Latin America and Caribbean region on the RIPESS Board.

The Assembly also benefited from the support of WSM, with the participation of Alexandra Arguedas, whose contributions enriched the dialogue. In addition, we welcomed the presence of the Vice Minister of Water and Sanitation of Colombia, Ruth Quevedo, reaffirming that every day the SSE gains greater strength and recognition in the Latin American region.

Let us continue working together to strengthen SSE in Latin America and the Caribbean, building economies that dignify, empower, and place life at the center.
