We are pleased to announce that the opinion piece accompanying the Roadmap to Ending Poverty Beyond Growth has now been published in The Guardian and Le Monde. It is a collective article signed by Olivier De Schutter, president of NEEP, alongside leading international voices such as Joseph Stiglitz, Jayati Ghosh, Thomas Piketty, Kate Raworth and Jason Hickel, as well as more than 400 experts from around the world.

RIPESS Intercontinental has already signed, reaffirming its commitment to this collective roadmap to transform the economic rules that today produce poverty, inequality and ecological devastation.

A call to action in response to current challenges

Against a backdrop of growing inequalities and a global ecological crisis, the experts agree: economic growth has failed to eradicate poverty or guarantee well-being.

The message is clear: poverty is not inevitable; it is manufactured.

The Roadmap to Eradicate Poverty Beyond Growth, co-developed by more than 400 people from academia, the United Nations system, trade unions, grassroots movements and civil society organisations, proposes 80 public policy measures to redesign the economy towards human and ecological well-being.
