First European Report on Ethical Finance

This post is also available in: French, Spanish

Ethical finance is very different from speculative finance, this is why it allows to preserve and increase economic value to savings over time and add to the last line of your account statement a series of other values, such as respect for the environment, struggle against global warming, housing rights, inclusion of people and organizations traditionnally excluded from the financial market circuits…

It is what emerges from the First research on ethical and sustainable finance in Europe – realized by the Finanza Etica Foundation (Italy) – and presented on November 28, 2017 in the italien Parliament in the framework of a seminar that was organised a year after the approval of the first law that recognizes the ethical and sustainable finance values.

The sum of the ethical and sustainable finance activities in Europe described in the report amounts to 715 billons euros: about 5 % of the total Gross Internal Product of the European Union.
