The VII Latin American and Caribbean Meeting on Social Solidarity Economy (ELACESS VII) will take place in San José, Costa Rica, from 27 February to 2 March this year.

The event will be attended by representatives of social entities and organizations that work in the defense, production and reproduction of economies: solidarity, ecological and feminist; fair trade, self-management of common goods, food sovereignty, good living and other expressions of promotion of a transformative economy, centered on people and nature, over capital and extractivism.

The agenda includes keynote speeches by invited specialists such as: Euclides Mance, Blanca Ma. Muinster, Henry Mora, Marcos Arruda and Wim Dierckysens, table work and plenary sessions, aimed at agreeing on construction and articulation actions for the promotion of the Social Solidarity Economy in the continent, in which RIPESS LAC and RIPESS Intercontinental have an impact.

The organizational and logistical task is shared by the SSE Network of Costa Rica, the University of San José and the Institute of Associative Economy of the Dominican Republic IDEAC, informed the Executive Secretary of RIPESS LAC, Nicolás Cruz Tineo.
