The United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) will host the Second Forum on Financing for Development from 22 to 25 May 2017 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. An event that provides an opportunity for heads of international trade and financial institutions to interact with their United Nations counterparts on issues related to FfD

The forum is expected to build from last year’s follow-up to the Addis Ababa Action Agenda and discuss the implementation of FfD outcomes as it relates to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It will include a ministerial segment with round tables to share lessons from experiences at the national and regional levels. The forum will also feature a panel discussion on the IATF report, a dialogue with stakeholders, as well as briefing on progress in initiatives mandated by the Addis Agenda or launched at the Third International Conference on Financing for Development.
