On July 3rd, 2014, RIPESS presented the SSE Recommendations for the Post-2015 SDGs’ at the 2nd Meeting of the High Level Political Forum of the UN in New York. The recommendations were officially delivered to UN State Members, Delegates and Agencies. The document, available in 3 languages (English, Spanish and French), was distributed to at least 120 country delegations.

The recommendations were developed over a year-long consultation with global and grassroots organizations from all continents, which involved thousand of groups and organizations involved in SSE. The recommendations are organized along 4 axes:

 

1 – Indicators to measure poverty, inequality, development and material and immaterial well being;

2 – Transitioning to a Fair, Social and Solidarity Economy;

3 – Adopting a human rights-based approach to development;

4 – Participation and transparency in international instances/processes.

 

 The RIPESS recommendations received about 500 endorsements from organisations in nearly 70 different countries.
